Douglas has been making music for many years, both as a jazz saxophonist and a folk singer. He played mostly jazz music growing up and studied both privately and in college.

His passion for folk music eventually took precedence and he has never looked back. Influences include John Denver, Kris Kristofferson, Dan Folgelberg and James Taylor.

Douglas currently plays a Martin Performing Artist 4 acoustic guitar (GPCPA4) with Martin MSP7100 light strings.
